AnaVation was invited to participate in Mobile World Congress on Oct. 22nd-24th 2019. Mobile World Congress is a premier mobile conference for telephony service providers, telephony data providers, technology companies, startups, and much more! Dani Charles and Grant Arnold (pictured) presented AnaVation’s efforts toward combating malicious caller ID spoofing and negating mobile-based social engineering tactics. The research and development effort was supported by the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate under a Small-Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. Dani and Grant provided an overview on the applications that had been developed, and delivered a real-time demo of one of the technologies: Person-to-Person Authenticator (P2PAuth). Addressing the issue of intra-organizational social engineering scams, P2PAuth leverages users who are registered in an organizations’ Active Directory and an application that is used to generate/validate one-time-use codes to authenticate users to one another.
