At AnaVation, continuous learning isn’t just a value – it’s a part of our culture. Our Education in the Evening (EiTE) series is a monthly session designed to help AnaVators expand their knowledge, explore new technologies, and sharpen their skills. Whether it’s a technical deep dive or a soft skills workshop, these sessions offer meaningful insights that can be applied both at work and beyond.
For April’s EiTE, one of our AnaVators, Mick, led an interactive discussion covering a survey of AI Chat tools. After defining some of the terminology in this area such as Machine Learning, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Large Language Models (LLM), he covered the use cases where this technology would be useful. In addition, we discussed the reliability of the technology and pointed out the privacy concerns.
The heart of the session was a deep dive into 12 different AI chat tools – reviewing the strengths, weaknesses, and peculiarities of each by running some sample queries. We concluded the session reviewing real world ‘on-the-job’ applications of this technology, then opened the floor up to what other examples AnaVators have seen within the industry. The exchange of ideas was energizing and sparked several follow-up conversations! This EiTE is just one example of how AnaVators help each other grow and stay on the cutting edge of emerging technologies. We’re proud to foster a workplace where learning is encouraged.
