As we say farewell to Scott Ganz, a cherished partner of AnaVation, we celebrate his remarkable career and invaluable contributions that have left an indelible mark on our company and employees. Scott’s journey with us began in April 2015, and over the past nine years, he has played a pivotal role in shaping AnaVation into the thriving organization it is today.

Scott’s love for computers began early, inspired by his father, a computer engineer. “I had fixed my friends’ computers as a hobby. My dad was a computer engineer, and so I had built computers and been around computers all my life,” Scott recalls. Despite majoring in mass communications and initially working various sales jobs, Scott’s transition into tech was a natural progression. Starting as an IT manager for American Express travel agency and moving on to a software development role, Scott’s skills and dedication quickly became evident.

His journey took a pivotal turn when he moved to Virginia after having kids to be closer to his and his wife’s family and entered the defense contracting industry. Reflecting on his early days, Scott remembers the day he crossed paths with Charles Quillin. “I had met Charles at BAE, and we were partners for a proposal. After my company got bought out, Charles and I kept in close contact. When my year was up, I joined AnaVation in April 2015.” This fateful meeting led to a lasting friendship and eventual partnership at AnaVation.

Scott’s tenure at AnaVation has been marked by significant accomplishments. Scott witnessed AnaVation transform from a small group of people working on a single contract to diversifying across various government agencies. From the outset, he was instrumental in diversifying the company’s client base. “I’m proud of starting the Army and DHS accounts. When I came here, we only had the FBI account. Seeing the company grow from a small group to a mid-sized company has been a rewarding journey,” Scott shares.

One of Scott’s most notable achievements was winning AnaVation’s first prime contract, RS3. However, what stands out most to him is the creation of the internship program in 2017 and the success it brought, nurturing new talent and providing opportunities for young professionals. “Seeing many interns graduate, get cleared, and secure jobs, is what has kept me going – that was sort of my brainchild”.

As Scott steps into retirement, his focus shifts to family and long-cherished dreams. “Being a grandfather is the driving factor,” he expressed. Scott and his wife have long dreamed of moving to Portland, Oregon, a plan now coming to fruition. “Trying to set my son up to take care of the next generation is the most important. That is where my passion is.”

Scott leaves us with words that encapsulate his time at AnaVation: “It’s been an honor to work here and help the company grow. I’ve had a great time, and I’m really going to miss the people. The relationships I’ve built here have meant a lot. This is a neat company with a great deal of mission and focus.”

As we celebrate Scott Ganz’s retirement, we extend our deepest gratitude for his commitment and the profound impact he has had on AnaVation. His legacy will continue to inspire us, and his presence will be dearly missed. Scott, your dedication, vision, and kindness have made AnaVation a better place. We wish you all the best in your retirement and the exciting journey ahead. Thank you for everything.
