Since the very beginning in May 2013, Aimee has played a pivotal role in AnaVation’s financial landscape as the Finance Controller. AnaVation has been fortunate to have Aimee as a cornerstone of its team, and her dedication has helped the company grow exponentially.
Aimee’s development at AnaVation has been marked by her proactive approach to learning. “By surrounding myself with smart and talented people, listening a lot, and just figuring it out,” she explains. What Aimee loves most about her job is the dynamic learning experience it brings. “I learn something new every day; no day is ever the same,” she shares. This environment keeps her engaged and excited, driving her to push boundaries and explore new possibilities. She is deeply motivated by the company’s mission to protect the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. Moreover, the smart, dedicated colleagues she interacts with daily make her journey even more fulfilling.
AnaVation’s culture is something Aimee holds in high regard. She describes it as a place where excellence is pursued in every decision, supporting both employees and customers. She emphasizes how her fellow AnaVators have been incredibly respectful and collaborative in supporting the work that she does. Aimee has also found a mentor in Charles, who has significantly influenced her understanding of government contracting. She admires his leadership style, which is characterized by listening, leading by example, and making value-based decisions.
Outside of her professional life, Aimee has a spirit of adventure and a love for the outdoors. Fun fact – in September 2023, she accomplished the remarkable feat of hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim alongside two friends, a 22-mile journey that left her in awe of the canyon’s beauty. Her evenings are often spent enjoying dinner with her husband and taking walks with her 4-year-old sheepadoodle, Teddi. Meanwhile, weekends are for hiking with friends and family and visits to wineries or breweries. One of Aimee’s favorite traditions is spending a week in the Outer Banks (OBX) with the same four families for over 20 years.
