Dan Pavan serves as the Director for AnaVation’s DHS Account. He brings 35 years of combined Government service to this role, including proudly serving in the United States Army Reserves and providing support to the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.

Dan possesses an MBA from the University of Maryland, and a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University. Starting as an intelligence analyst, he received the DIA Director’s Medal for his intelligence work supporting the identification, apprehension, and conviction of war criminals in the Former Yugoslavia. Dan is also an accomplished technologist, contributing to the early development of Intelink – the initial iteration of web services for the U.S. Intelligence Community. He later led the Technology Insertion Lab for the DIA’s counterterrorism office.

More recently, Dan helped design a similar rapid technology insertion lab for the DHS I&A and is now lending his advisement and support to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Chief Data Office.
