Josh joined AnaVation in 2019 as an intern, bringing a fresh perspective and a strong foundation in software engineering. In May 2020, Josh transitioned from intern to full-time employee, taking on the role of Junior Software Engineer. In this position, he began honing his skills and contributing to significant projects. Over the years, he has advanced to positions as a Staff Software Engineer and now as a Senior Software Engineer.
Throughout his tenure at AnaVation, Josh has played a pivotal role in delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. His expertise spans various projects, including developing Java and Python lambdas and contributing to AWS architecture. As a developer and Data Steward, he ensured data integrity by cleaning and uploading data to a PostgreSQL database. He also provided support for container services, demonstrating versatility and problem-solving skills. Currently, Josh is focused on maturing a networking algorithm analysis tool, showcasing his ability to tackle challenging projects.
Josh has been an active participant in various AnaVation events, such as our summer food trucks, lunch gatherings, and several DHS AV team events creating lasting memories and fostering strong relationships with his colleagues.
Josh’s continued commitment to AnaVation is driven by several factors. He highly values the exceptional team members he collaborates with, including his excellent manager, Bonnie C. The flexibility of remote contracts has been a significant perk, allowing him to maintain a healthy work-life balance. What Josh values most about AnaVation is its supportive culture and generous PTO policy. He feels fortunate to work alongside talented colleagues like Lee N. and Robert B., who continuously share valuable insights and demonstrate outstanding communication skills. This collaborative and enriching environment keeps Josh motivated and engaged every day.
Since starting at AnaVation, Josh has developed essential skills, notably time management, which has significantly enhanced his productivity and efficiency. AnaVation has also supported Joshua in achieving a significant milestone—purchasing his first home.
